HIFI CORP BAIT / FALSE ADVERTISING

I would like to warn the public of false marketing and bait marketing I experienced with Hi-Fi Corporation. They use this marketing to draw you to their stores or gain hits on their online platform but they do not have a product to offer. Be especially aware during this festive period and Black Friday where consumers are looking for bargains.

They advertised a Asus Notebook, (4GB RAM and 1000GB Hard Drive) for R1999 on there online platform. - The product offering was advertised "valid until 10 Nov 2019" - There was no mention of limited stock, nor indication that it was till stocks last.

When I tried to purchase the product I was unable. I contacted their stores they said there was no stock and referred me to their online call center. The call center responded that they have no stock and cannot offer an alternative. I lodged a complaint with Hi-Fi Corporations complaint platform with no success. I referred the matter to CGSO and still negotiating a resolution.

Hi-Fi Corporation is exploiting unsuspecting consumers and drawing them into their stores without having products to sell. Ill-informed consumers do not know that the retailer needs to supply product that is advertised. The retailers just blows them off with "we do not have stock" and capitalize by persuading those customers to buy other products.
