Hi Fi staff dont know the products they are selling.

I bought a JVC smart tv on the 30-11-2022 (LT-32N750A). I downloaded the dstv app and showmax and amazon prime in Jan 2023. To my shock the dstv now app does not work and I don't have a dish anymore. There was a paper inside the tv box that said dstv app does not work. I went to boksburg hi corp and explained the situation because nobody told me the dstv app does not work , Im suppose to guess as its a low-end TV . Surely the sales agent should know about this and tell the customers. Otherwise, they will have a lot of returns and complaints. I was then told by the manager to bring it back and they will deduct 15 %. This is a warning to other customers. ask about the DSTV app on any smart tv you buy. Also check the dstv website.
