Hi-Fi Corporation bending the Consumer Act

I bought a Lalela UPS on 13 March 2023, it worked well for 3 months, then no more power supply to fibre and wifi. In line with the Consumer Act I returned it on 28 June 2023, but was told it will be sent away to supplier for assessment to determine reason for malfunction. I explained to Danie van Vuuren, manager of N1 Goodwood branch and "IT specialist" that my office cannot function for 21 working days (period given for supplier assessment) without a ups and I need replacement or refund in accordance with the Consumer Act, but he was calloused and argued that Hi-Fi Corp is not the supplier, but retailer. In that way they have interpreted the Act to suit them. I advise that no-one should buy from Hi-Fi Corp.
