Hi Fi Corp online sales

I placed an order for a portable hard drive online on 24 June 2020. I understand that delivery could take 5-10 days, but as it is within Johannesburg, I could not see how it could take longer than 3 days.

After not hearing a word from them for 48 hours, though the money went off my account immediately, I called them. They assured me that it would be delivered that day still. Only then I received an electronic invoice. The item was not delivered that day, but the next working day.

Upon receiving the item, I noticed that the price sticker said that it was R1699 - a full R300 more than I had paid for it!

I queried this, but received no correspondence whatsoever.

I had told them that unless they can give me a good reason for the inflated price, I will not buy from them again. As they did not bother to answer, I will not buy from them again, and I urge everyone else to do the same.

The price I paid for the storage device, as per the invoice, is R1999. However, when I received the order, the price on the item was marked as R1699.

This is unacceptable. Online prices should be less than in your physical stores, not R300 more!

Please explain this giant discrepancy.

This was the first time I had made an online purchase from you, and I certainly will not do so again unless I receive value for my money.
