Hi fi corp don't beat any price

Recently my wife and i decided to buy a cooker hood. As it was on special at House and home for r529,i told my wife we should check by Hi fi corp because they advertise ,they beat any price,which is a lie. We ended up paying r529.90. The guy told me they could'nt go lower because the item was already on special. I spoke to friends of mine and all of them said they also had bad experiences with hi fi corp and their beat any price advertising. So please hi fi stop advertising untruths.
