Frustrating online shopping experience
I placed an online order on 12 Jan for an air fryer that was on special, on the 13th I received a call and email from a Hifi Corp store in Secunda saying that my item was out of stock and you wouldn't be getting more, so I should take a refund or pay in for another different air fryer. I wanted that model and found it elsewhere at the same price, so I asked the person from the store to arrange a refund. It is now the 16th, I haven't received my refund or any confirmation thereof. I called the call centre on 15 Jan, spoke to Ayanda who was most unhelpful, I told her I wasn't getting confirmation from the store, but she insisted that I had to contact them again - I said I was doubtful I would hear back, but she insisted. So I emailed the store again, no response. So I called the call centre again this morning the 16th, and was finally assisted with logging a case for the refund to be processed by the online team, I now have to wait another 24 hours for someone to contact me, only then can my refund start being processed. How can you advertise stock on special when you don't have any available, and then take over 4 business days just to get a refund processing to your clients? If you are out of stock, you should be able to refund your clients within a short space of time, or sort out your online store so that people aren't inconvenienced by paying for expensive appliances and then having to phone and phone to beg for their money back.
