Faulty TV

Hello Peter, I bought a Tv from HI-FI corp East gate about 2 weeks ago. when I got home I then realized that the Tv had a crack, I tried connecting my HDMI cable and it wouldn't connect not only that, I also realized that the TV was not taking out any sound. I called the store the next morning to inform them about the faulty TV they had sold to me. I told them I could only bring the TV on Monday of which I then did. I was assisted by Matshediso I informed her about the issue and she checked the tv and booked it in for repairs. I have the customer repairs documentation as proof. On Tuesday I got a very disturbing call from the lady, stating that she will not be able to assist me any further due to how I had transported the Tv to my home, I was astonished as she doesn't have proof of this, she proceeded to inform about the warranty not covering cracked TV's fully ignoring the fact that the TV COULD have cracked when their sales assistant Khosi was putting the TV on the box. I failed to understand this cause the biggest issue was the TV being faulty and the warranty card does not make mention of faulty products. I'm extremely disappointed by the service I have received. I have contacted their head office, customer service and no one has given me feedback or showed the interest to help resolve the matter. I spoke to one of their agents (Nqobile) shortly after the incident who stated that since the TV was faulty the store will have to give me a new one, on the other hand the store says I'll have to pay for the TV to be repaired. Of which I refuse!!!!!!! They sold me a faulty TV and I demand that they rectify that. I need this matter resolved asap if not they must cancel my account because I will not pay for a faulty TV.
