Do not buy from Hificorp online, it's a **** to make money on the 15% term and condition
Ordered a couch online. When it was delivered I was not at home so my kids received the delivery. They informed me they have to sign for the condition of the items and i instructed them to open and inspect the items. They signed and the drivers left with the packaging (sacks). On arrival i notice the couches are small and do not fit my space as I had expected. I call in 3 days later to explain and request a refund. Obviously the terms and conditions kick in on an email with a Thabo Mphuthi, where I am liable for 15% of the original price if not in original packaging. I immediately inform the ecommerce customer representative that the drivers took the sacks with so I cannot repack them. I send pictures as requested and included one that shows the couches are not in use, so the condition is as it was before delivery. Second email is about the measurements of my space co.parednto the measurements on their website and that I could have seen that the couches were small before opening the sacks. Now am confused what the issue is, packaging or measurements. Their terms are about packaging and not measurements and I cannot repackage because the sacks were taken by their drivers. In trying to adhere to 1 term of inspection,I am contravening the other, repackaging to original condition, which is not my doing. Thabo Mphuthi is now not responding to my emails because I am asking what is the 15% for, "measuring" and please he should direct me to a term that says I need to measure before buying on their website. Their terms are more on CPA and nothing much on ECTA as an ecommerce business.
