Discriminatory actions in previously disadvantaged areas

On Saturday 16/12/2017 I went to Hi Fi Corporation in Promenade Mall Mitchell's Plain to get a few things as I was passing through the area. When entering the store with my wife and 4 month old son,my wife carrying the baby and I had the baby bag I get stopped by the security and he tells me I cannot go into the store with bags,I then tell him its not a shopping bag its the babies bag with formula and other essentials a baby needs but he still refuses entry. I then ask to speak to the store manager as I think its a silly policy to have as ive been to other Hi Fi Corporation's and they let you in even if you have a trolley.

After flagging down the sales manager Neville (what a ****) I ask why I cant go into the store with a baby bag and he just responds that you cannot go in with the bag I then tell him its things we need and my wife's wallet and other personal things are in there as she doesnt use a handbag when we are out with the kids he's reply is just it cant go in and no explanation. So I would like to know why is it that in Mitchell's Plain one has to hand your bag in,needless to say I left the store and went to Makro and got what I needed without an issue of bags. When I finished I went to Hi Fi Corporation N1 city just out of curiosity to see what would happen and low and behold absolutely nothing I got greeted at the door baby bag on shoulder and shop assistants asking if I need help. Why would you discriminate against people in previously disadvantaged areas are they ALL *******????

It seems this is a trend in areas like this. And I absolutely refuse to open my bags after I have paid for an item with my cash and. If I had bags from other shops I would have gladly handed it in at the parcel counter.

I cannot fathom how Hi Fi Corporation could have a sales manager as this guy Neville representing their brand as he has absolutely no customer s****.

I hope they see this as ive sent a mail to head office as I feel this "store policy" is unfair if it's not implemented in all their stores.
