Delayed phone repair service

I bought a phone on Black Friday last year at Centurion mall. On the 21st of December 2020 my screen starting green stripes faded screen. I took it back and I was told it needs to go for repair and that it will take 21days. Today I decided to call and find out how far is my phone with repairs. Only to be told it was just sent for repairs on the 6th. Am very disappointed had I not made an effort to enquire I wouldnt have known that I still have more days to go without a phone. This is very upsetting
