Delay in Delivery

I app**** for a fridge on credit, the person assisting me said as soon as it gets approved they'll book it for delivery for that day if its in the morning or the following day. It got approved on the 30th of December 2022. Today is the 7th of Jan 2023. I called the store to enquire during the week and yesterday 6 Jan and they said i should receive my delivery on that day or the day after which is today, so i called again today the 7th of Jan and spoke to two people and the store can't give me an answer as to whether they have the fridge in store or if its been dispatched for delivery, i asked them to call me back as soon as they check on the system and they haven't. I'm frustrated to say the least because i had made arrangements at work to work from home so i can be available when they deliver the fridge. Isn't their policy to deliver between 2-5 days and if the item was not instore couldn't they have referred me to a different branch or store?
