Defective product, appalling customer service, zero accountability

I am extremely disappointed with HIFI Corporation and cannot recommend shopping here. On 30 January 2025, I purchased a Bennett Read "Sponono" 7kg Single Tub Compact Washing Machine online. The machine arrived defective, leaking water from the bottom before I could even use it once. I immediately contacted the call centre to request a replacement for this brand-new, unused, faulty appliance. Instead of a replacement, I received an SMS on 5 February scheduling a "repair" for a machine I never got to use. After that, complete silence. On 9 February, I called customer service SIX times attempting to resolve this. Each time, agents dropped my calls mid-conversation. I then sent an email to customer services. Still no response. It has now been nearly two weeks since delivery, and I'm left with a broken washing machine, no resolution, and no communication from HIFI Corp. For a major retailer, this level of customer service is unacceptable.

I urge others to think twice before purchasing from HIFI Corporation. Save yourself the frustration.
