I was ****** at Hi Fi corporation Oakdene branch!!!! I went in to this branch on the 05/10/2019 to purchase a laptop for my son, who is at Wits. We saw many laptops but he needed one with an i5 Processor or higher. We were then shown a "demo" unit by the store manager for a whole R1900 .00 cheaper than the new unit. So we decided that if all the warranties are in place then we will buy it for him. On the 15 April 2020, the laptop , refused to come on. There was power going via the charger nit to the laptop but the screen was simply dead.... I called Dell as that is what Hi Fi Corp advised me to do. Only to be told that the laptop was sold in JAN 2019 and that the warranty Expired in Dec 2019!!!!!.. So in effect it was a second hand unit not a demo unit..

When i went back to the OAkdene branch and spoke to susan, the branch manager, she simply handed me over to the customer care lady to help me, which she tried i might add. But the branch manager refused to even come out of the office and handle my issue. They said that they will have to take the unit in for repairs and that may take up to 3 to 4 weeks!!!!!!!..

My son is having lectures online , what must he do in the meantime. And in any event, I DID NOT BUY A SECOND HAND UNIT from your store. I want a replacement 'NEW" !!!!
