COVID - 19 – Payment Relief Application / *** / Customer Number: ***
On 08/05/2020 I sent Hi-Fi Corporation an email with a copy of my retrenchment letter whereby requesting for the retrenchment insurance benefit to be implemented to cover my installments, at this time my account was 100% up to date with no arrears whatsoever. I also received a phone call from one of the HI-FI Corporation consultants where this was confirmed via telecom conversation that HI-FI Corporation did in fact receive my email retrenchment letter to which this consultant advised in saying that seeming my account was up to date at the time that there will not be any issues and that the retrenchment insurance benefit will be used to cover the remaining installments due to me being retrenched and having provided all relevant documentation as proof. This however was short lived because of *********** personnel not having done their work as what they should have and as such resulted in the request not being submitted to the relevant department nor having updated my records with the retrenchment information. After having spoken to yet again 3 to 4 different HI-FI Corporation consultants it was made clear that they did not communicate internally in order to rectify the issue brought forward. I have also received several emails whereby HI-FI Corporation is demanding the remaining payable balance and stated that my account have gone into arrears since the end of May 2020, the exact same month where I notified HI-FI Corporation of my retrenchment and having informed them that I do not have any form of income and therefore requested for the retrenchment insurance benefit especially to ensure my installments do not go into arrears. Obviously HI-FI Corporation or rather the personnel at HI-FI Corporation neglected to properly act and carry out their work because if they did then I would not be posting this kind of review. Why is it that now with the HI-FI Corporation being negligent and perhaps incapable of doing their work that me the client is being blacklisted as well as victimized because of a system that was put into place whereby I had paid for the retrenchment insurance benefit to ensure my installments are kept up to date even-though the possibility of retrenchment as assurance, obviously someone here did not do their work or just blatantly acted stupid.
Why do I now need to drain water from a rock whilst still being unemployed and be liable for the negligence of personnel who is receiving a monthly salary for a job they do not know how to do? I have explained this to Abacus as well to which it seems like these people also do not have the correct education to understand what is going on here and as such just dragging the situation with additional charges being added to my account followed with continues payment demands. I strongly feel this matter need to be investigated with formal action being taken against the relevant personnel incapable of doing their job, how many clients have been lined up to undergo the exact same trauma before someone is willing to stand up and draw the line to *******ion? The retrenchment insurance benefit was in place with my account being up to date at the time so why is HI-FI Corporation still demanding the balance outstanding since my retrenchment, perhaps because of trying to make 200% profit in already having collected the outstanding balance from the insurance benefit as well as still demanding payment from me as the client even though having received the full outstanding balance fully paid by the retrenchment insurer. If I'm wrong then I will publicly apologize, but if I'm right then I expect an apology from HI-FI Corporation as well as written confirmation stating that my account have been paid in full with this matter being corrected and closed with no further action being required. I would appreciate if someone from HI-FI Corporation can either call me or send me an email in this regard instead of just sending out useless demands, I did not ask for the COVID-19 situation nor to be retrenched but guess what, it happened and it needs to be handled in the appropriate manner!
