Certain Policy's apply for certain people

Hi. I have purchased a Television 3 months ago which i only opened up last week. When i opened it up, the screen was cracked. The Television has been opened and checked in store and it was fine. I then went to the cashier to get my slip, and when i returned the television was already packed. We then went home and stored it in our new home. On the day when i opened it for the first time, the screen was cracked and i noticed that some of the box packaging was missing and the plug was laying against the LCD which caused the crack. I purchased an extended warranty with this TV too which by my knowledge is supposed to cover me for this which was not the case. It seems like the salesman just wanted the sale and did not explain this to me even when i bought it in good faith. Now imagine how furious someone can make you when you return this to the store, and all they can say is it was tested in store unfortunately we cannot help you. This was taken out instore and also put back instore so this happened instore! The warranty that i thought covered me is actually a void and cost me money. they do not want to fix or give me a credit or even return the money i spent on the warranty atleast. They say i cannot prove that it was broken in-store, but they cannot prove that i broke it and also cannot provide video footage but they want to keep my money which i work very hard for. This service was disgusting and its sad to say that i have bought 3 TV's from them that day and many more previous years ago but no one even lifted a finger to help. Someone that worked at Hi-Fi corp also informed me that a resolution was done for a customer in a similar situation in the past but apparently i am the wrong person(color perhaps). I need you to do something about this. I won't let it go just like that!
