Blank tv after 10 months of use
I went into your Polokwane Branch late December 2017 and bought my mom a tv. Fast forward to 18 Oct 2018 in the morning, she switched the tv on and it didnt go on. When I checked closely it showed but the picture was very faint. The whole screen was black. I then went in to enquire about what to do at the same branch and was told to come in with the tv. Friday 19 Oct I went in with it. They filled in a couple of forms and then told me that I have to wait 21 WORKING DAYS so they can fix it. Now I'm very calm when i say i was very upset. I bought a tv to watch something now I have to wait 21 days before I can watch the tv? Does that sound like a fair deal? What must my elderly mother do for 21 working days? Watch walls? And suffer for you incompetence and substandard products? That is totally unacceptable. This is what is going to happen... I am going to give you till Friday to get my tv back in store and I will gladly fetch it. If I do not have it by then, I will approach the consumer rights commission as well as my advocate for legal action to be taken against your company. Hi-Fi Corp will be liable for every cent owed to my lawyer and still pay for the inconvenience caused to my family and possibly a brand new tv bigger than the one I bought. I suggest someone gets on this because you do not have much time.
