Blame the customer ???

Bought a bluetooth speaker on 16th June from the Amanzimtoti. Brought it home put it on charge & discovered it was damaged. Tried to return it on 2nd July but had incorrect receipt with me, so returned to the store this morning. The customer service person told me that they would not honor the warranty as I had broken it. She said that I had pushed the on switch too hard and the entire inside unit had been damaged. I explained to her that I only removed it to charge it and discovered it was damaged and I had tried to return it immediately. I live 45 minutes away from the store. The unit is in perfect condition and clearly a factory fault, but she wasn't interested. When I asked to speak to the store manager she said that she was busy.

So I did get a call this morning from the store manager who apologised and offered to replace the unit. Just have to drive 50kms again to do so...
