Benny Ferguson Hifi-Corp Kenilworth Centre extremely pathetic service

On the 13th February 2021 I bought a new KIC fridge that I was convinced by a Byron a sales person to buy instead of a Defy that was on special/promotion. The refrigerator started working fine, then after a week the light bulb started flickering and then stopped working altogether when the fridge door was open. I also started noticing the sound that the fridge makes was unusual. I reported this by calling the store and they told me to an email stating my case. I did exactly as told and they got back to me saying that the email was logged that the technician was going to be send out to my residence. Yesterday the 28th February 2021 my partner happened to see a JVC flat screen there and told me that we should buy it as saw that it was on special. That the staff had promised to take care of the fridge situation, that we should now buy the Flat screen tv. We bought it cash and when we drove home with it which is literally 5mins away from the Mall, and switched the tv on. One side of the screen showed a distorted image and looked like it was faulty. We decided to repack it so that we would take it back today, and exchange it with one that is working properly. I even send them again an email with images of the TV so that when we go in they would know what we were taking about. When we got there this morning we were assisted by a Benny Ferguson the store manager that was utterly rude. He initially said that he would check for stock at the back and exchange then he asked if we had checked the screen before leaving? He was then adamant that he won’t exchange or refund the flat screen. That he should see what to do with it. I found this very offensive and had never ever seen anyone being treated the way I was treated today. What about consumers rights? He basically said that we’re the ones that damaged it and he is not taking it back nor assisting us in any way. We’re also still waiting for our Refrigerator to be fixed. Something needs to be done about that store manger Benny Ferguson or the store as a whole.
