HF Developments - Mr Hercules Jansen Van Vuuren

The company was contracted to do an alteration to our home in Rynfield Benoni. Firstly, they took far too long, secondly, it only came to our attention that they picked up day labourers to complete work which should have been done by semi-skilled builders and lastly the work was not completed and the Africote floors started bubbling and peeling after two weeks. Africote technical advisor come to inspect our floors and confirmed that the problem was due to lack of product and application. The Owner of HF Develpoments, Hercules Jansen van Vuuren, promised me that he is not " that guy" and would come back in the beginning of this year and finish the work and repair the floors. He then made contact with me in February this yearnstating that he could not complete the work or repair the floors because he did not have the funds and that he was also busy completing a rugby coaching course. He further stated that I need to get another contractor in to complete and repair the work and that he would refund me the costs of these repairs and completion. Well, he does not respond to any communication now and does not return my calls. It has cost me to date over R60 000 to repair the floors and do some of the outstanding work which had not been completed. There is still more work to complete which I now have to get other contractors in to complete.
