Why was windows 10 update not blocked for pavilion

Updated my pavilion g6 to windows 10. It was problem after problem. Finally after 2 months I cannot log in. Phone Microsoft , I am told that the reason I'm not able to use my computer is because HP didn't test windows 10 on the pavilion g6 and release driver updates. As a result I was forced to factory reset and lost everything. So im back to 8 and it's still as bugy as an ant nest. HP sandton are only willing to fix it for a fee, never mind the fact I lost very expensive 1pc user licenses. So who is liable ? Microsoft for releasing the update or HP failing to release new drivers?
