Super expensive Printing costs!!!

I ordered HP Laser MFP 137fnw from MAKRO Online for R3299-00 on 31/08/2022. Start-up cartridge as expected did not yield a lot of prints. On 14/09/2022 I ordered the replacement, - original HP 106A cartridge from Takealot for cost of R988-00. I have printed a total of 870 prints and the TONER LOW warning is already displayed. Total prints made on this printer thus far is 925. Print quality is set to normal. HP call center advised that yield is normally 1000-pages per cartridge! This means that the average printing per page is R1.35 ? And they tell us that Laser is cheaper than Ink-Jet Printers. I seriously don't agree! Not at this cost. I am super unhappy about this product and feel that Hewlett Packard seriously need to return to the drawing board! I don't want this printer anymore. It is too expensive - sorry!!!
