INK CARTRIDGES DRY & HP UNINTERESTED TO ASSIST
So last year my ink cartridges were perceivably 'dry' real quickly. So I called HP and they told me that the setting may be off or that the heads need to be cleaned and I must bring the machine in. So I took a day off work and took the machine in. That was August 2014. They then put in a set of new ink cartridges and all was well until about 3 weeks ago. Now I must highlight that my printing habits are consistent. So, 3 weeks ago, I put a new set of cartridges in as purchased from Markro-THEY ARE NOT CHEAP. All was well but as of yesterday, they are all dry again. So I realise that these ink cartridges must have been dud and dry and called HP. It took me 3 phonecalls and an hour on hold to get to talk to someone who could apparently help me. The verdict: It could be your settings or your heads so you'll need to bring the machine in... REALLY?!?!?!?!?! I am not technical, but I am certain that you don't need to service a printer every 6 months. Seems they are too stingy to even simply replace the dummy cartridges and offer a solution to try first consider the inconvenience and already time off work I have had to take! Surely that's the most logical & most convenient solution for all?
