I thought HP was a good brnad, Never again.

When I decided to buy a new laptop, I thought going with a “trusted” brand like HP was a good idea, boy was I wrong! From day one my HP 250 G5 had a random hanging issue, everything would freeze and I would have to do a forced shutdown by holding down the power button, eventually I think I found out this was a driver error (with the stock drivers) would have been great if they had fixed it with all the bloatware that comes installed. That was the least of my worries though, not 3 months after the warranty on my product expired it started giving the worst kind of issues, now keep in mind, for most of its life this laptop had been plugged into an external keyboard, mouse and screen, so wear and tear should have been minimal on the built in devices, I wish that was the case (and I never spilt anything on it)

1) Random keys on the keyboard just don’t work anymore, this issue seems to have got worse over time

2) Groups and lines of dead pixels caused by stress on the screen, when opening the laptop I can see the screen discolour (rainbows) from it being pressured/pulled some how by the body/ hinge

3) And finally, congratulations HP on the stupidest error reporting method in history, the “Caps Lock” keys, instead of another LED, or something, HP’s engineers though it would be smart to activate and deactivate your Caps Lock in some error message code. “WhIcH MAkeS YOu type Like ThIS” unless you disable the bottom in the Windows registry.

Are my standards too high? As a student, I bought a bottom of the range Lenovo, which lasted me for almost 6 years (with one keyboard spill issue) before I sold it, with everything working, but an “Enter” key I could not clip back in, never got a complain from the new owner. But I buy a midrange HP Laptop, and this is the quality I get?
