My HP printer (2 years old - still under extended warranty) stopped printing properly - it was as if it pick up all the cartridges. I sent it in to be repaired under warranty, only to be told "the hing of the scanner lid is broken therefore it will be an out of warranty repair". I fail to understand how the scanner lid can affect the printer (!!) but nevertheless asked for a quote to have it repaired. This time I was told the printer head is faulty but there are no parts available for this particular model. How is this possible!! The exact same model I have is currently on shelf at all major dealers. So to everyone considering buying an HP OfficeJet Pro 6960: DON'T because if anything goes faulty you have to replace the printer - no parts available! And good luck trying to get hold of ANYONE at HP - I was given an 0861 number to call - good luck getting any help there. Needless to say, I have bought myself a brand new printer from another manufacturer, who according to the salesperson, has the best after sales service. When will manufacturers realise that having a healthy brand is about so much more than just the name??
