HP Deskjet 3525 e- All-in-One

My printer is 2.5 months out of warranty and the printer head packed up after not even emptied the cartridges I received with my purchase, which I believe is not even 20% of the normal cartridge capacity. I phoned HP support on *** on 20 May 2015 and understandably were told that they can't do anything because it is out of warranty. Then the lady told me that the printer head is designed to last one year only. The printer purchase price was R1200 and to replace the printer head cost R1000. Next time you buy an HP printer, use the shelve price and divide it by 365 days to get a daily price it will cost you, where after you might as well through it away and go buy another one (preferably another brand), for the repairing cost is about what a new printer is worth.
