Vomit Car Rental
On Saturday the 20th November I collected a Hertz rental car with registration no: JV69RMGP from the OR Tambo office in South Africa.
On arrival my colleague and I immediately realised that the car had a strong vomit smell, especially on the passenger side.
We requested a replacement car but were told that none were available and we were also limited for time.
The smell in the hot sun baked car became so overwhelming that I and my business partner were physically nauseous and the following day whilst driving the car I had to stop as I myself nearly started vomiting.
Furthermore, on Monday we embarrassingly had to attend meetings and stank like vomit when arriving at our high profile meetings.
Hertz you not only caused us extreme physical discomfort but jeaopardised our health and our safety and even our professional reputations with our business and customers.
On returning the car we again mentioned it but were met with apathy from the staff members there who seemed more interested in getting the car ready for the next rental customer rather than addressing the seriousness of the situation.
I am highly disgusted, disappointed and will most certainly be sharing my awful experience with my social and professional network.
