UNSECURED HUBCAPS SPOIL A JOYFUL WEEKEND

Rented a vehicle from Hertz King Shaka Airport in Durban. On collecting the vehicle, it was made clear to me by the attendant at the Hertz lot that the hubcaps were fine and safe even thouigh they were unsecured, I was worried that they may be ******. The vehicle was a Polo Vivo On Sunday morning, when I am ready to leave to the airport and return the vehicle I found that the hub caps were ******. I was parked outside the Tsogo Sun Elangeni Hotel when the hubcaps were ******, I assume on Saturday night they were ****** because they were on the vehicle earlier in the day. The reservation number is 2B87A649956. Today, Tuesday 13 October 2020 I receive an invoice for R 3500 + VAT (total of R4025) to be charged to my credit card. This is unacceptable as I did not get a cost per hub cap or anything of the sort. Just a charge to my card. This overall experiance is unacceptable becuase I have rented cars from other providers that had hubcaps secured. The vehicle rented is a budget car, rental for 2 days was R498.00, and now I should pay R4025 for an issue that was brought to the attention of the Hertz representitive. This experiance has been stressful, especially at this time of economic downturn, where every cent counts. I hope nobody in the future has this experiance with Hertz and its staff becuase it is an absolutely stressful end to a joyous weekend.
