Terrible service from Hertz Herm**** where we hired the car from. We were left with the cleaning lady who had to show us how to start the vehicle because the agent helping us made us sign the paperwork and then immediately left the premises. She had already done the vehicle check before we got there without us. When we returned the vehicle in Cape Town, there was a crack in the tail light which the Hertz lady in Herm**** had neglected to mention or make any record of. While we were dealing with this paperwork with the agent in Cape Town, our bags were ****** out of the Hertz rental shop. There was no in-store security and the cameras are "just for show" we were told. They didn't call the police or security but continued to insist on the payment for the cracked tail light. Insensitive and slack service from both rental offices of the same company. Perhaps they hire staff that are sub-human.
