No response from Hertz - just a bad attitude?
I made a reservation via the call centre for a cross border rental, pick up on the 30th March 08:00 at Polokwane Airport, and it was confirmed that the car will be ready and equipped accordingly. Upon my arrival at 08:30 I was informed that the reserved car had no cross border documentation Only 3 hours later another car was arranged - yet while I was assured during the reservation process, no equipment necessary to cross border to Zimbabwe was arranged, e.g. reflective stickers etc. So it took me another hour to drive into town to arrange same (don't get me wrong - if I would have been informed that I need to buy and arrange the equipment I would have done so, but I was given the understanding from reservation that this will all be sorted!), allowing me to leave only 4 hours later. But what is really concerning, nobody at Hertz cares: I have spoken to the regional manager, Freddie Manokwana, on the 30th March during the morning and was advised to receive feedback. Thereafter i spoke to Customer Relations, phone ***, 9th April, where I was informed that she'll investigate and provide feedback. Neither has contacted me thereafter - this is shocking customer service.
