I rented a vehicle for the 28th - 30th July 2023 paid the rental fee of R3351.00 and deposit of R7000.00 to be refunded once the vehicle is returned. On the 29th July 2023 Hertz took another R3351.00 from my account without my authorization and provided proof of the duplicate debit made but never received any refund to date. To my surprise Hertz claimed to have refunded my deposit on the 30th July 2023 whereas the funds were never received to my bank account. Today the 13 September 2023 I was just being copied by Hertz when they instructed their standard bank to release R7000.000 to my bank, however the amount to be refunded should be R10351.00 (R7000 + R3351). it is almost two months waiting for my refund whereas it is not in line with the signed contract.
