Making money on traffic fines

<p>I had a courtesy car because my car was at the panel beater. The car was arranged by BMW witrh Hertz Car Rental in Cape Town. I was super careful with the courtesy car, was always driving super slow and only parked in regular protected and inside parking areas.</p> <p>I returned the car with 100% full tank and no damage and I got an invoice of 0 (the rental amount was paid by the insurance as a courtesy vehicle).</p> <p>2 weeks later I received 3 debits on my debit card of 270 zar each! It looks like I got 3 fines (for a total of 1400 zar of which one is a 15 km speed limit exceed and the other 2 are noone knows what fines .... I never had any fine on the car PLUS I always parked at my place or in a secured parking) and they make money on each fine for "redirecting" me the fine. How do they redirect it??? Do they come to my place to do it?? It should be to justify the price!!!</p> <p>I wrote them back telling them that something like it is a vexatious clause and need to be signed separately, but obviously they are replying me bull****s .</p> <p>Obviously I will never ever use Hertz anymore. Too bad because I thought they were a serious car rental. Obviously they're not ot not anymore. </p>
