Left Stranded at King Phalo Airport as Hertz refuses rental paid for

Hi,

I was left stranded at East London Airport/ King Phalo Airport this last Saturday 20 August 2022 after Hertz said I could not get the vehicle because my Credit Score was low.

The rental was made via Just Car Hire (email attached)and the applicable amount deducted from my Credit Card.

A lot of things went wrong…

1. Consent is required before credit checks are done on anyone or any consumer. I did not give my consent and I was not asked for consent, I was just told this was done. This is against regulation. 2. I was left stranded as deductions were effected on my account. 3. Nowhere does Just Car Hire inform the consumer of a Credit Check Requirement, which is not fair and is gross misrepresentation.

I have attached the Cancellation Letter I was given by Hertz.

Please can I have a speedy resolution to this, including a refund back to my account.
