In Today’s South Africa, Hertz Staff Displaying Xenophobia is Unacceptable!!!

I am extremely disappointed and disturbed by an interaction I had with a Hertz Car Rentals representative at the Cape Town Airport branch.

What should have been a simple customer service engagement turned into an unacceptable and deeply concerning experience. The representative I dealt with was rude, dismissive, and outright disrespectful. When I calmly requested to speak to a supervisor, the situation escalated, and I was subjected to behavior that I can only describe as hostile and inappropriate.

More concerning, the tone and remarks made during this interaction came across as discriminatory and xenophobic. In the current South African climate, where issues of ****** and xenophobia are already a serious concern, it is completely unacceptable for a global brand like Hertz to have frontline staff behaving in this manner.

As a customer, I expect professionalism, respect, and basic human decency — none of which were demonstrated in this interaction.

I am formally requesting:

* A full investigation into this incident * Identification and accountability of the staff member involved * Clear feedback on what corrective action will be taken

This is not just about poor service — it is about dignity, respect, and the standards that companies operating in South Africa must uphold.

I will be escalating this matter further if it is not addressed with the seriousness it deserves.
