Hertz South Africa operates dishonestly with no warning

I rented a car with Hertz South Africa and I have them less than honest.

1. They charged me R800 for losing a hub cap on the car. One of the lower range vehicles, an Opel Go which I have to say used to whistle in the wind. I think the car was dangerously unsafe.

2. they just charge any amount they want – and then charges are put through with no explanation, no advance warning or invoice. I drove through the Transkei and found some idiot policemen standing on the side of the road right next to a 60 sign. They should be down the road at least 100 meters from the side, and 2 this was on a national road, how could one be expected to go 60Km/ hour. it was not near a city or village.

I will not use Hertz South Africa again. Looking on the Internet it seems this is their standard modus operandi and feel they do not have to give notice and just charge you whatever they like.
