Hertz not paying back deposits

I rented a car with Hertz more than a month ago, and returned with a tank filled, car has been verified on return by one of their officials, but after a month can't get my deposit. Various promises, even if they would be paid within 48h, days have passed, hence even that promise has come to nothing. The joke of the week was when, after again requesting when they would pay back my deposit, receiving an explanation note with instructions on how to contact my bank to request them to return Hertz's pending holding amount on my account!!! Note that several people are complaining about the same issue regarding Hertz not paying back their deposit. PLEASE BE WARNED DON'T USE HERTZ, EXCEPT IF YOU WANT YOUR DEPOSIT TO BE THEIRS!!
