Hertz Car Rental...poor service, high cost

I hired a car from from Hertz for Monday (12:57) to Friday (12:57). My First mistake was to use Booking.com. I opted for additional insurance and found out that the international insurance was substantially more than the hire of the vehicle. Fortunately I could reverse this after tracking of the company on the Internet. However I was charged with a cross border fee through the bank. The second mistake was booking through Hertz. I informed the attendant at Hertz that I would only be able to return the car at 18:30 on Friday. She indicated that all I needed to do was phone in on Friday mourning and this would be arranged. On Friday morning I phoned in to confirm the arrangement . To my surprise I was told to return the car by 10:00 or be subjected to a R450 surcharge. Hertz spoilt my short vacation with *********** people making false promises. I will never hire through them ever.
