Hertz Car Rental Service --Dishonest ******. --Hollard is not Helping their clients when their service providers messes up either.

I had a minor accident with my Vehicle and was in need of a rental car that has been sent to me by my Insurance Company Hollard. After the assessor finally sent the correct approval to replace my parts of my vehicle and not try and repair it as the vehicle is still under guarantee by Suzuki I received a call from the rental company and arranged for the delivery of my rental car.

The person that delivered the vehicle had his clip board that was shown to me and then my copy was put into an envelope that was put into the cabual of the vehicle by the person delivering the vehicle from Hertz. He was a friendly guy but it seemed that he is not fami**** with the process as he was walking all around the car looking at small things I could not understand. He also pointed out a terrible scratch on the lefty front bumper ON THE BOTTOM of the vehicle. We also discussed it and made a joke that someone must have hit the pavement when parking the car. Some info on the form was supposed to be updated in the office upon his return after doing the delivery. I had the vehicle for approx. 6 days and two of the days I worked from home. Once my vehicle was repaired by the Panelbeaters( Chako Panel Beaters in Brakpan )I was so happy that finally after my issue with Hollard then having to pay deposits and possible delivery charges of the rental car delivered to me. (Keeping in mind that I have car rental on my policy) .With all that has happened I was finally done with this ordeal of life having to go through the process of Hollard wanting to repair a broken bumper by an assessor that has not even called me. The the inconvenience of having to pay a deposit for the rental car while I have insurance to cover the rental expenses then I finally hit the Jack Pot. Hertz cam to collect the Rental Car and notified me of the scratch on the vehicle discussed with me when I received it saying that the don't have any record of the scratch. So it has taken having to call Hertz last week Friday and explaining to Lerato at Hertz whayt has happened, best part is while we were talking on the phone she says it was marked and she will have to get all the documentation and investigate. So first I am blamed for previous damage on the car and then I am told they don't have all documentation and when I followed up today I can still not get an answer as to what is happening. I did however receive an invoice for the E-Toll. As far as I know the E-Toll has been s****ped. Personally I will not deal with Hertz at all in the future as it seems the staff is either *********** or just very dishonest. I have not scratched this vehicle. Why should I pay for damage that is not my fault. Further why do I need to pay for E-Toll if its been s****ped. And now I am possible facing the lost of my R2000 deposit and a debt collector trying to take me down for another R1500 plus the petrol that I used. I did not fill the tank before handing it back to them. That I am responsible for and that can be deducted from my deposit. But I have not damaged the vehicle at all. This is staff that is dishonest or as said before very ***********. Further I don't see why I am responsible for the E-Toll payments if the E-Toll is s****ped. Terrible service dishonest staff. Great Car smooth drive .But to be responsible for such a financial knock having insurance is just not the same.

As discussed we busy checking as this scratch is very huge ,looks like it was scratched to pavement

Than what was marked and it’s fairly new .

The one that was marked was less than 2cm in diameter .

Now all of a sudden there is a small scratch on the same bumper on the left that was marked and the one in question is new. This is just bull..........
