Hertz Car Rental Deposit Refund Takes FOREVER!!!

Rented a car on 28 August 2021. Today is 4 October 2021. I still await my deposit refund. I am being sent from pillar to post about it. I have never had such a bad experience with any other car hire company in South Africa before. Its a first. Worst thing is, they inform me that it is normal for it not to even appear on their statement to me! Its a substantial amount of money and I honestly really feel like I have been ****med...and only my refund will convince me otherwise! How long will Hertz hold back my cash, which could be growing in better investments right now?
