HERTZ CAR RENTAL - AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I regrettably rented a car from Hertz at OR Tambo and returned the car on the 07 March 2026. I am still waiting for my deposit to be returned despite various calls customer service. The first consultant on the 31 March 2026 said my deposit would be received the same day. Today I called again and another consultant said it is only refunded 21 working days after returning the vehicle even though the notice on the window says 7 days. Regardless of the mixed messages re the refund timeframe, it has been 25 days.

I see there are many similar complaints re refunding deposits on social media. AVOIDING RENTING FROM HERTZ- There are many many other professional, honest car rental companies out there
