Greed, how are you possibly competing against Avis?

Hertz pressures you to take the super waiver insurance fee via a ridiculous deposit i.e. the full damage liability of the small vehicle as opposed to Avis charging a R 5,000.00 deposit at most for a small vehicle.

They then hold onto your deposit for weeks afterwards and when calling blame it on the bank. Avis always reverses the deposit just about immediately after they send the invoice and debit your account, Hertz debits your account for the extra charges and then "The bank" seems to forget about your deposit. So does Avis have a better relationship with the bank?
