Excessive drop-off charges

My car broke near George Airport on 14 May 2021. I rented a car from Hertz George Airport for drop off same day at their premises in Stellenbosch. I was surprised to see on the invoice the drop-off charge was more than my rental and fuel for the day. On querying , I was advised in writing that the cost was for "the vehicle is to be transported back to the branch it was hired" , and when I asked for proof that this did indeed happen, the reply was " we do not provide customer with proof ". Repeated requests has had no results. I do not dispute a charge for drop-off, only the actual charge of R950 which was much more than the rental for the day. I believe in terms of the Consumer Protection Act clients are entitled to see proof of service rendered.
