Do not rent from Hertz

We rented a car from Hertz Cape Town from 12 to 16 November 2020. They told us the deposit and damage waiver will be release after 14 to 21 days. After 21days we followed up and was then told no it takes 21 working days. After 21 working days we were told it is not Hertz responsibility but the banks. Now after a month and multiple follow ups and calls our deposit and damage waiver has not yet been paid back. It is the first time ever my car rental deposit is not paid back within a week and that a rental company also takes the damage waiver as part of the deposit. I don't mind that but I do mind that they do not return the money or blame the bank when they did the authorization to freeze the money.
