Charged for damage not caused.

This query is regarding invoice ********** 0−0

I'm under the opinion that the tire damage that I'm being charged for its not mine. I picked up the car Friday night. I checked the car best I could in the dark. I did report that the rim on the same wheel with the tire damage (which is a small chip) was damaged. This was not marked by Hertz.

I did not hit any potholes or anything else. If I thought that I caused the small chip in the tire I would gladly pay. The person that damaged the rim (that wasn't marked on the paper) could have also caused it.

In actual fact what proof does the consumer have that this tire will actually be replaced and that they don't just pocket your money. They could just charge the next 5 clients who will surely miss such a tiny chip on the tire this same amount as well.

Emailed customer support and never got a response.

Reviewer Update

As per my original review:
"Emailed customer support and never got a response. "

1. Why must I first go through Hello Peter to get a response out of Hertz?

2. Why wasn't I contacted back when I mailed customer support the first time?

Note to anyone else that might want to use Hertz. This is the only time Hertz will responsd to your issues is when you go through Hello Peter, otherwise they will just ignore you.
