Avoid Hertz Rent a Car in Capetown.

I was given a BMW 218i from Hertz as a replacement for my BMW (Roadside assistance) 26 March 2021. I was not offered any additional Insurance or notified of possible problems I might have with the car's tyres (it was fitted with very low 40 profile tyres). I got a flat just outside of Humansdorp. As a result I contacted Hertz and they offered to assist. At no stage was I warned of any additional costs. The results was a towing fee of R3178,60. I had one flat but had to replace 3 tyres, another R8292,10. And now for the real kicker Excess amount of R4500,00 (I also paid for the tyres and the tow in) and a R800,00 administration fee. It is ************ theft. To add insult to more injury, they gave us a Mercedes on BMW s account and this things radio would randomly go crazy and play at top volume.
