******* and *****ulent Dealings with Clients!

If I could give Hertz and Firefly Rent A Car a ZERO, I would.

*****ulent and ******* dealings with clients - shocking service!

On 5 May I arrived at Lanseria to pick up the automatic Toyota Auris, which I had already reserved and paid for online just to be informed that they did not have the car at the airport and I would have to take the 'upgraded' VW TSI - a car which is hopelessly too low for me as I am a very tall girl. The ONE employee of Hertz that was on duty for the day was insistent that I take the extra insurance for windshield and wheel cover, which I did not take as I was driving on ONLY main roads to Pretoria from Lanseria and then back to OR Tambo on the 7th. There was also an added hold of R8000 put on my card just in case - more than what you would expect, but ok. As I got to car, I did a walk around to check that ALL faults were noted on the car, which, surprise, surprise, they were not, so I had to wait 45 minutes for the this ONE attendant to come and do a walk around of the car and note the extra sc****s and bumps. He gave me lip about this as he was very busy and could not actually attend to me, but I insisted and he came out to do it.

After which, an elderly gentleman and his wife returned their rental car and were told that there was an extra sc**** at the bottom of the one door - which, according to the gentleman was present when he received the car and he refused to sign the paperwork.

I was skeptical about the rental from the start, but thought, as we had done an extra walk around and everything was noted, that it would be ok - but was I wrong!

Upon returning the care to OR Tambo, we did a walk around and the lady wrote my name, number, address etc. on the form and I signed it - NOTHING extra was noted on the form as the car was returned in SAME condition as I had received it - I just did not refuel, which I said to her and expected that to be deducted from the R8000 hold and then the rest returned.

I then saw on the 7th of May R642.64 deducted from my card. I phoned the next day to enquire and was informed that it was for the fuel cost - a bit much if you ask me as I drove to Pretoria and back - no other driving around in between, but ok. I asked about the R8000 and the gentleman gave me the customer care email which i could email to get the hold lift escalated and the money returned.

On the 10th of May another R8642.64 was charged to my account. I send an email to customer support to query what the amount was about. I received an email back yesterday - the 18th to inform me of the Claim sheet that I apparently signed as well as the invoice for a new back windscreen that was replaced and me billed for.

Upon inspection of this document that was signed by me, I saw that someone, with a different handwriting than the lady who received the car at OR Tambo and with whom I had signed the form - on which there were no additional sc****d or chips noted, had brought a note under the notes section of a chip in the windscreen. THIS WAS NOT BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION AT ALL! If it had been, there would have been a discussion right then and there as the note was brought under the describe HOW the incident happened.

So Hertz *****ulently, filled in notes AFTER I had already signed the document, which is COMPLETELY *******. And to add insult to injury, I was NEVER informed of any of this happening or of a chip in the windscreen or the windscreen needing replacement due to said chip to the R7938.50 - ridiculous!

DO NOT USE THEM!
