Accident made by Dollar Thrifty owned my Hertz, nothing being done by Dollar Thrifty

<p>Good morning Hertz/Dollar Thrifty Senior Director, Executive Vice President/ VP WC Experience and Loyalty and Chief Executive</p> <p> </p> <p>I trust you are well.</p> <p> </p> <p>(Please see my emails below made to Dollar Thrifty, which is owned by Hertz. )</p> <p> </p> <p>I am Mrs LM Steyn, driver and owner of an ETIOS 2013 model, Reg CA 934758.</p> <p> </p> <p>On Saturday morning at 9.15, one of your vehicles Reg FH38NS*GP, hit my Etios on Long/Strand street Cape Town. Your vehicle hit my back bumper and side of car, and back light on the right hand side is chipped away( the thick red stained cover, as well as my door on the driver side has a dent in. The dent in my door is from the passing of the Kombi or the spatter of stone or the pieces of your Kombi , as the drive of the Kombi did not dead stop next to my car when he hit us , but still drove till by the Long/Strand Street robot. My Etios was parked in the parking bay, we were at Market Jewellers and when we came out, only to find this had happened.</p> <p> </p> <p>The attached pictures shows the above description, pictures of Thrifty Car Rental’s vehicle, the driver of the Kombi’s drivers Licence etc.</p> <p>I immediately called the police, who came, attached in the accident report number and docket 423/12/2016, the Police person on site is Captain Harrington, with the Cape Town Police.</p> <p> </p> <p>We also, whilst the police were there contacted your company, a Malcolm on ********** 019 to advise of the accident, later a lady from you Cape Town office called from ********** 137 who advised me that there was nothing she could do in relation to my car, her concern is your vehicle. We had some exchange of words and she told me that she would have her manager call and to date NO manager had the decency to call.</p> <p> </p> <p>Sir/ Madam since the accident happened till now, I was the one who had to make contact with Thrifty, I called everyday only to be promised a call back from Jacques Van Staden, but to no avail. No one at Dollar Thrifty has had the decency to make contact to advise me on the proceedings correctly.</p> <p> </p> <p>I was told my Wendell Naidoo from your JHB Office that they had to wait for that very Kombi to come back from being hired out on the 23rd and only then access their vehicle.</p> <p> </p> <p>Today is the 28th December 2016, 10 days later and nothing has been done to my vehicle yet, I do understand it is a process, but common courtesy to let me know what is happening , is the minimum expected from such a huge establishment.</p> <p> </p> <p>I have attached all the required documents that I have already first hand sent to Dollar Thrifty, including quotes of which I had to pay for.</p> <p> </p> <p>Thank you for receiving my email, I await your response in anticipation.</p> <p> </p> <p>My contact number ********** 612.</p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>
