Arengo 70 T/A "The Herford"

My daughter & future son-in-law were booked to hold their wedding at Hertford Hotel on 7 March 2020.

We had paid them R30000.00 by the end of January, and all of a sudden one of our guests informed us that they could not contact them to book accomodation for that night, that they were closed for business until further notice.

I eventually managed to speak to someone who informed that the company was in liquidation!

Apparently the owner is Dennis Gamsy who "owns" The GIB group which was founded by him, he is the present Deputy Chairman and it has grown to the largest privately owned Corporate Insurance Broking Company in South Africa.

He will not refund the money to us - It is gone!!!!!

I am not sure that I would want this financial planner looking after my insurance policies and holding my future in his hands!!

People please beware!!!!

We now have to find another wedding venue, find the money to pay for it again, while Dennis Gamsy, sits pretty in his office in West Street, Houghton.
