It is with a heavy heart that I have to write this review on Hephzibah Inn. We have booked this venue for my sons wedding on the 19 April 2025. We booked and paid for the cottages available for us to sleep over as well as the usage of the kithchen., all paid in full.

The owner Chantelle was like a warden on the day of the wedding while we preparing foods Chantelle and her sister came in the kitchen spraying doom all over the foods and over us while we busy with food. Knowing her venue has animals right behind the kitchen which also causes flies. I have mentioned to her on several occassions we busy and we cleaning all at the same time and we are guest that paid she did not give us the venue for free we paid her in full even for the usage of the kitchen.

Chantelle assured us that we could book out at anytime the Sunday, early Sunday morning she send a message saying we must be out by 11am and we used her guest mini butters and jams in the fridge and Ice, my question is if it is for her guest what were we, we were guest to as we paid for the hole weekend, so surely we entitled to use of the mini butters and jams and ice. We are strictly Halaal the freezer in the kitchen was packed with pork, so we did not even use the freezer only the fridge e left our foods in the cooler boxes with ice.

I will not refer anyone to this venue however beautiful the place is Chantelle needs to treat people with respect because waht she did i believe it is ************** we did not stay or make use of anything for free she was paid in full. Only 2 gallses broke which was in the bridal dressing room because the devider they put there fell over while the bride was getting dress.

The mere fact I had to serve my guest foods which I do not know if the doom effected is the most disgusting part of this matter. She and her sister each with a tin of doom spraying doom all over our foods is really on another level. We left her kitchen clean. We even mopped and swepped, this is now really taking people in their faces most guest left by 5pm, we left Sunday as we paid for Sunday. She was suppose to refund me with R500.00 for the use of the kitchen of which I told her to keep because of the way we were treated and the attitude of her and her sister i might as well have kept my sons wedding at Pollsmoor I think we would of gotten better service and treatment. Or is it because of out Ethnic group that we got this service. Chantelle, needs to treat all her guest with the same attitude and not because of the color of our skin, she already got all her money and extra.

I am sorry to say i will never refer anyone to the Hephzibah Inn in Hermon again. Chantelle needs to apologize for her actions and reimburse me for all the foods i had to throw away because of the doom they sprayed all over.
