Henry's Cash Traders sold me a write off, I returned it now he doesn't want to give me my money

Hi All, I'm writing this not out of spite fulness or seeking attention,(All screenshots provided in comments) but simply because I feel I have been wronged, and some law must be in question here.

On the 10th of March, I visited Henry's Cash Traders (Towards Sherwoods side, 689 Voortrekker Road). I saw a 250 TSR Motorbike at a pretty good price, it looked like it just needed some TLC. I asked the owner why it was such a deal, Henry proceeded to tell me it was because it didn't have papers, it had also stood for a long time and suffered an electrical issue, but it had just come back from the mechanic, and everything was sorted. Knowing the price of TSRs without papers, the price (R7900) made sense, also due to Service Providers such as "Henry's" having to disclose any information on the vehicle or mechanical issues upfront as per FAIS.

Having made some bad financial decisions a while back, I lost everything.. Walking became normal, so when I finally saved a little bit of money, I bought a R3000 junker, one does not get much bike for R3000, but I was still proud of it, it wasn't much, but it was mine, and it beat walking. I told Henry I'd be back, rushed home to put my pair of wheels that I worked my *** off for, online. Excited that it was time to move up,

Sold it in 1 day, took the rest of the money I had gathered and went back to Henry's Cash Traders on the 12th of March to test ride the bike and make a decision. On arrival, I told the young lady that I had spoken to Henry about the bike & I was interested, she must call him and ask for the best price.

I was told that I needed to buy a new battery (R420), because the old one was no good.. Thus I can take it for R7500)

Battery bought and in, it didn't fire up, not a sound.. Not hearing anything, I was advised by Dennis this probably just meant a loose wire, or something small and was reasured that it had just returned from the mechanic, everything should be fine. I told the Salesman (Dennis) I'm going home, call me when the mechanic is done, barely 20 mins later, the lady called saying it was just the fuse that wasn't connected, it's ready.

Test ride was good, everything seemed fine, paid the lady and rode with a smile from ear to ear.. But 3 or 4 corners from my house, around a corner something in the rear just buckled. Upon inspection, the whole back rim had buckled itself apart, 6 or 7 spokes were missing, and the rim was bent, this in 5km.

Called around, just for the rim - R2000.. So on the 14th of March (second time on the bike) I was supposed to meet a friend at big boy to have the rear end inspected, it started, rode 50m and died and wouldn't start again.. The voltage regulator was broken, so that brand new 2 day old battery was burnt out.

So I decided to just give the bike a good once over and see what all needed repairing.. Covers off, I started at the handle bars - Key broke off in the ignition, aftermarket ignition, Indicators don't work, master cylinder needs new lens, brake light is constantly solid red whether you brake or not, Broken exhaust manifold /cylinder head (hidden by stuffing the hole with tissue and gum gum), Bike is not only paperless, but also a code 3 rebuild from a salvage auction, 2 frames welded together, the spark plug cable was broken causing constant disconnections, the gears in the kickstarter were ceased, the exhaust was cut into 2 pieces, hidden nicely under the frame, the seat was torn, voltage regulator was done (which means the wires are also probably fried) , rear rim was done, chain guard hid the sprocket just enough so you can't see it has shark teeth (with new sprocket you need a new chain), the rear arm was bent, the shock had nothing holding it together it was in pieces... Even if I wanted to part it out, I couldn't. Because none of the parts weren't broken or in pieces. And that was when I had enough, I worked to hard for someone to just come and take that from me, I didn't even get to the motor, And I

I then understood, this write off, salvaged bike was pieced together by broken parts.. Everything, put together just enough to start, and get you far enough away from the shop, enough where hopefully you don't come back. Frustrated I finally contacted Henry, he first tried to stick me with his mistake and make make me lose almost all my money, after explaining my situation, after saying I just want my money back, this bike is a financial pit, I was told to put it back together, and bring it to the shop, he will have my money ready.

I had to pay R300 to transport the bike, I was treated like **** by the staff, mumbling comments like "Ja Maar as is, is Mos as is" and so on, trying to explain that "as is" isn't piecing a piece of **** together and selling like for the price of a rose, done in such a way that it deceives you.

The lady took my banking details, and told me the owner would transfer the money in 30 mins.. I left, barely got home and received a text saying he wasn't going to give me my money because when I took the bike, it started, now it doesn't.

I took the bike back over a month ago, and Henry has the bike and money, just avoiding the situation telling me I must fix the bike first, which I feel is not my responsibility, the bike was faulty to start with, didn't even do 10km, and who is going to pay for that new battery to get this bike started, now I must pay for repairs and get it started so he can sell it to the next victim.. On top of that, I have to walk everywhere again, and in doing so, broke my ankle yesterday walking to town. Honestly the most pathetic thing I have ever seen someone do, just gathering interest on my money for over 2 months now
