Deplorable Customer Service

1) Remarkable ineptitude displayed by Owner of Henry Motors

I purchased a car from a dealership in Randburg(Gauteng) and the owner referred me to Henry Motors (Nelspruit) for my car repairs since I live in Nelspruit. The dealership owner purchased parts at Goldwagen Nelspruit for George, owner of Henry Motors, to collect and fit on my car. When repairs were falling short of what I expected I asked George what his agreement was with the dealership since he accepted to do repairs on my car. His response was that he doesn't know who the person is that asked him to repair my car since they just had a telephonic conversation.

2) Gross Dishonesty Henry Motors removed the broken cradle and fitted a new one on my car as part of the repairs he agreed with the dealership. When I collected the car I found the air conditioner was not working. When I informed George about it, his answer was that they never worked on the aircon. Thereafter I took the car to Bosch for investigation. The technician commented that somebody must have been working on the car judging from dirt marks, aircon wires were hanging because of a broken clip on the connector. Henry Motors don't accept accountability emanating from poor workmanship

3) Gross incompetence Also, as part of the agreed repairs with the dealership Henry Motors replaced a cambelt. On the bill he invoiced for fitting cambelt kit. I went to his workshop to request a statement that explains he only fitted the belt, not the tensioner and roller. His lack of professionalism showed remarkably saying he is not going to make a statement. What he has on the invoice is the job he did. When I tried to help him recollect the discussions I had with him regarding the parts delivered, he lit up his short fuse saying he is busy and he can't be recollecting issues about all the cars he has worked on. He asked me to produce the invoice from Goldwagen when he took himself and must be in his filing cabinet if proper admin is done. The other mechanic is his son, George Jnr., that is when I realized it's a family business. His son also joined in to say they cannot be made to say things they did not do, what's on the invoice is final. Invoice reflects the job they performed on the car. Because of his lack of decency, George would not pay attention, defensive and could not have a private discussion to resolve the matter. We ended up arguing in front of his staff. Big lack of professionalism and no dignified treatment of customers. Before making a payment I was treated as king. After I had paid them with cash, in full, I'm treated like a nuisance when I needed to have this short statement to correct the erroneous description of the work that was done.

4) Warning to prospective customers I would advise anyone not to entrust his vehicle with Henry Motors. Also, I did not see any certificate of membership with any South African Automotive and Related Industries e.g. RMI. Check closely if you desperate and want to take chances send your car to Henry Motors Save yourself a headache and frustration by avoiding this workshop
